San Luis Pass 11/22 Saturday afternoon

Hey I’m planning on spending the afternoon on the Freeport side of San Luis pass. Just throwing big surf rods if any wants to join. I have 5 big rods. More than enough to share if anyone wants to come learn the setup.

I’m showing storms early morning, I’m not worried about it.
Yes, got probably a dozen frozen croaker/whiting I’ve been holding onto that I need to use.

We have some left over mullet and will try to grab some crabs and see what we can get into. It will be cool to fish with you again.

I’m gonna try to get there by 1 on Saturday and go til dark. I usually drive under the bridge and setup on that side.

Also bringing my little camp griddle to make hotdogs and sausage for dinner if y'all want to bring something to cook up.

San Luis pass was covered in seaweed so I left pretty quick and went to swan lake boat ramp and fished the canal. A guy landed a huge bull red as I was setting up. But nothing else hit.

Still had fun and didn’t get too bit up by mosquitoes.

Sorry we missed you. We went to that spot early and then left when rain was hitting and tide was low. Ended up at the park and landed a decent Black Drum. We were soaked because it hit the bait right when the rain hit, so much fun fighting him in the rain.
